Congressman Mark DeSaulnier visits the Orinda Library

On July 31, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier visited the Orinda Library, accompanied by his District Director Janessa Oriol, Senior Outreach Coordinator Kaylee DeLand, and Jill Ray, District Representative from Supervisor Candace Andersen’s office. A lifelong reader and strong supporter of local libraries, the Congressman was welcomed to Orinda by Mayor Latika Malkani and Vice Mayor Bronwyn Iverson. Librarian Michael Beller gave him a tour and introduced him to Fran Strykowski and Nancy Ross-Madnick of the Friends of the Orinda Library. One of the highlights of his visit was observing librarian Lin Look reading to young children during storytime. It was both an honor and a pleasure to welcome the Congressman and share the vitality of our library with him.
